When the Clutter Feels Like Too Much
A quick guided meditation reset
There’s a moment when it hits.
You put away the dishes louder than they need to be.
The kitchen cabinet doors get slammed a little harder.
You look around and feel defeated.
When stress over clutter builds, our nervous system can switch into fight-or-flight, and suddenly every item out of place feels like a five-alarm emergency.
Not because it’s truly life-or-death, but because survival instincts on overdrive make it feel that way in the body.
The urgency to place blame or make the mess disappear is our body’s way of trying to ease the discomfort inside us.
The truth is, clutter itself is temporary.
But the shame and guilt can last much longer.
I created this four-minute guided meditation for those moments—to help your system settle so you can return a little calmer.
A little steadier.
Find a quiet spot, soften your gaze, and follow along to reset.
Save this post so you can come back any time you need a moment.

Thanks for the mediation, I'll use it today.
Also... sometimes it feels like I'm at the bottom of a well and I have no way to climb out. I don't know if that's an odd way to describe the situation 🤔 😁
But, anyway, taking a few minutes to calm my nervous system before doing anything always helps.
